I logged in to my SponsoredReview.com account the other to check on some writing opportunities and bid for them. I went through my usual routine, clicking on those ads which interest me and submit my bid.

After about three bids, I noticed the portion of the box showing the share that the blogger gets for every writing opportunity. I saw that if I bid $20, I will get $10. This used to be $13.

I went back to the homepage of SponsoredReview to see if there are any news there. Sure enough, I found this on the main page.

In order to continue expanding our marketing, sales, customer service and programming efforts and to recoup other expenses related to increased costs we have decided that it is time to increase our transaction rate by 15% from 35% to 50% (your share will now be 50% versus 65%). This increase will allow us to continue expanding our software functionality as well as grow our marketing and sales efforts in order to increase the number of opportunities available to bloggers. As it stands we currently incentize advertisers to make bulk purchases by giving them up to 20% discounts. At the end of the day these incentives account for a large portion of the opportunities that are created in the system. Unfortunately those incentives also reduce our profit margin and make it tough to expand functionality and keep up with sales and marketing initiatives. We will continue to provide large incentives to bulk buying advertisers in order to encourage volume

The increase will take effect on January 13th, 2010. This increase will not affect previously made bids, your previous bids will continue to pay 65%.

If necessary, please make any required adjustments to your blog prices and new bids in order to compensate for the increased transaction fees. We thank you for your continued participation in our system and assure you that this increase will, over time, have a large effect on the number of paying opportunities available to all bloggers.

Wow! Imagine that! 50% from your work taken off from you. As far as the advertisers are concerned, they are paying you the right amount. But SponsoredReview has to increase its share.

Man, the times must be really hard these days.

I have just finished writing an article courtesy of Sponsored Reviews, another money online for me. After which I went on seeking some more opportunities. I proceeded to the "Find Advertisers" section where I will bid for opportunities... when I noticed that I can't bid anymore on opportunities with a price lower than what was set-up for my blogs.

It used to be that, an affiliate can bid on any opportunity as long as his blog qualifies with the requirements. Now, even if you're blog qualifies you cannot bid if you priced your blog too high. Because now, you can only bid on opportunities that are equal to or higher than the price of your blog.

I don't know if it's a good thing or not. But I lowered the priced of my blogs so I can bid on more opportunities. Now, it really feels good if you have good price for your blog, but if you can only get a few opportunity, what good would that do?

I'll just wait and see, if this new procedure/policy of Sponsored Reviews would stay or they will bring back to the previous system.

Another source of money online that I have been getting recently is Sponsored Reviews. And if your blog has a high PR then I suggest that you sign up with Sponsored Reviews, because there are lots of writing opportunities waiting for you there.

But it wouldn't hurt signing up even if you don't have a PR yet. I didn't have any when I signed up, although it did take me more than 3 months to get an opportunity. Sign-up anyway and then develop your blog, the system will pick it up when you're already qualified.

With this site, the bidding method is used to get writing opportunities. Advertisers will post the minimum amount and the maximum amount that they are willing to pay for the review. You bid for the price you want to receive, and if the advertiser agrees with your price, you will be informed and write the review within 7 days. Of course, you don't need to wait for the deadline to finish the job. It's always better to finish early.

Payment is swell, as they give payments every 14 days! You don't have to wait for 30 days like with other writing opportunities sites. They pay via PayPal. And if by chance, you don't have an account yet, you can sign-up with PayPal here.

A word of advice: It is very tempting to bid for a high price, but as I have experienced, it doesn't really get you much opportunity. It won't hurt to bid for the lowest price, as the number of opportunities will more than compensate for the price.
