Okay, I'd like to make it short and simple:
I'm having a contest on my blog, my first attempt to launch an EntreCard contest.
My modest prizes are as follows:
1. one (1) 2,000 EC credits + $10 + 1 month 125 x 125 ad widget on my sidebar
2. three (3) 500 EC credits + 2 weeks 125 x 125 ad widget on my sidebar
So what do you need to do?
1. You need to subscribe to this blog via email (a pre-requisite for everything that follows after this, otherwise your entries won't be counted) - 5 entries
3. Promote this contest in your blog (5 entries), which should contain the following:
a) a link to this site and to this contest
b) details of the contest (prizes, due dates, etc)
c) advice me on how I can improve my PR and my blog in general (please be gentle, this one's optional 'tho)
no minimum number of words, as long as you can fit in all the info creatively, then post the link of your post here.
The contest will officially start today upon publishing of this post (September 3, 2008, 6:21PM Philippine time) and will end on September 23, 2008, 12:00MN, Philippine time.
Winners, which will be chosen via raffle draw, will be announced on September 25, 2008.

As far as advice to improve page rank goes, you should first improve the site for human visitors and then for search engines. There is nothing really wrong with your blog but then there is nothing special that can hold a new visitor. Here are my advices: (I do not see a point in gicing suggestions on a post that is informing about contest! This is personal view so I amy be wrong)
First, you should have some method to contact you at your blog. Comments are nice method but personal contact is an other thing. So, I would advice to get a free contact form at www.kontactr.com You can also use malito link but that will make your e-mail address visible to spammers and soon your inbox will be full, so a contact form is nice option.
Secondly, you are using a default template. Nothing is wrong with the default blogger templates except the fact that MILLION OTHER PEOPLE USE SAME TEMPLATES! So, get a good free high quality template from www.eblogtemplates.com Just visit the site once, you will find out why I am recommending this one!
Also, customize your template. Visit www.bloggerbuster.com for great articles on blogger platform. You should also use widget wisely, a three column template is the best choice.
For Search Engines, link to others and get some links too! Join blog directories and share links.
Also, read some blogs about blogging like dailyblogtips.com
They really help you improve your blog!
Last, when writing on such matters like advices, I tend to get a bit harsh! So, if I wrote something that hurt you, I am sorry for that!
